EURO TRIPEURO TRIP...
So here it goes...
Also if you noticed I have a new section on my website called Team – The Machine. Im actually working on putting together a team in Latvia with 3-5 guys. The main reason why I decided to do this is because I wanted to give a few fast upcoming kids a chance to compete and train at a high level with out having to worry about the rest and hopefully we will see the next Latvian Machine in the near future. Stay tuned... I would like to give a big shout out to all my sponsors for all the support and always having my back. Free Agent, Rockstar, ODI, Shimano, Elevn, Fox, Maxxis, Tioga, Insight, Q2, Weinmann!
Ja ir kādi jautājumi un neskaidrības par kreklu pasūtīšanu no mājas lapas, tad droši rakstat uz This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . First rounds of the euro races went great! Took home first place in both races. It was actually a last minute decision for me to start racing in Europe again, It felt good to be back racing where it all started for me. France was a really good place to start off at as It’s known to have some of the best tracks in the world. I just wish the weather was better it was pretty freezing over there, good thing I brought my warm Fox/Rockstar jacket with me. My euro fans are always great, It was nice to get all the support from them while I was there. I havent decided yet how many more races I will be racing in Europe this year, it could be a few more or maybe the whole season. Will see on that one... I love how they run races in Europe where Pros go right after challenge groups and with out long breaks in between every lap. It is a lot of traveling but I thought it would be great to race in front of some of the best fans in BMX. Thanks for all the support and see you guys soon again...
Hey guys I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated you on what I’ve been up to these last couple months. So here it goes... I was keeping busy while I was back home in Latvia with all the media and trying to get some training in for the season. I got to do a lot of cross country skiing which I really enjoyed, made training a little fun. It was just good to do something different. Came back to California just a few weeks before the first race of the season and thats when I pretty much started riding my bike again. First weekend back racing didnt go as smooth as I would have wanted to but it was something I expected. Made the mains both days and finished 6th on saturday and 8th on sunday. I was just glad to be in the mains both days. We didnt get much break from the first race till the second one. Next national was already just one week later in Florida. I have always liked racing in Florida, tracks just seem so much better over there than in California but nothing beats Cali weather so I guess its either one or the other. Finished in 4th on saturday and 6th on sunday. I was feeling a lot better and was able to put together a lot more good laps just couldnt quite put it together when it mattered the most..in the main event. I knew from the beggining that it is going to be a process to get back to the old Machine form, but I have been enjoying it and been taking one weekend at a time. It’s a marathon not a sprint. My main reason for wanting to take some time off last year is that I wanted to get away from BMX for a while untill I start missing it again. Last year I felt that with all the Olympic stuff on my mind I lost the joy, fun, and excitment of bmx racing. This season I didnt want to get back on my bike before I started missing it again and got that hunger back. After taking a break I am happy to be back riding and racing again. Im really looking forward to this season.
