Hi everyone...

I still haven't done much training on my bmx bike which I'm not very proud of, time to get back at it and get ready for last few races of this season and finish it on a good note. I will be racing in Korea at the beginning of October. Track in Korea is definitely something else. Its concrete with a lot of small and steep jumps but I kind of found it fun to race when I was there in 2010. I had a great time so I am looking forward to going there again.

Last week I spent 4 days in Las Vegas. I went there for the annual Interbike Show and I realized that four days in Vegas is way too much. The bike show was good seemed like it was actually a little bit bigger than the last few years. Walked around and saw a bunch of new cool stuff, did some autograph signing and got to catch up with most of my sponsors (Free Agent, Fox, Kenda, ODI, Velo, KMC) and at the same check out their new 2013 line. Thursday night followed by Nora Cup award ceremony where Brian Lopes killed it with his speech. Dude was hilarious. Congrats to Sam Willoughby for winning Ridebmx racer of the year award this year. He has had a great year and well deserved. After Nora cup was over we decided not to break our traditions and headed to HardRock circle bar for few more drinks. Fun night and big thanks to USABMX for free drinks. See ya next year Vegas...

What's up everyone! I'm a little late on my Olympic update, but the last two weeks have been crazy and I've been really busy. To start off I just want to thank all of you for your support and congratulations! This was the most nerve racking race for me. I'm still in disbelief that I won the gold medal  for a second time in a row. A lot of the time I wasn't feeling or riding like myself out there. I found it hard to deal with all the expectations and pressure going into the race as a defending Olympic champion. I am just glad I was able to put together a good lap when it mattered the most! When I arrived back in my country My teammates and I were welcomed to a red carpet off the plane and people cheering us on. We all road in a big bus back to my hometown and I was surprised to see almost the whole city waiting outside for us! It was such an exciting moment and I felt so honored. I wasn't expected anything like that. My whole time back home I had a lot of interviews and signing sessions to attend to. Rihards , Edzus,  I were even asked to be a part of Prata Vetra concert in the capital city Riga. They are the most famous band in our country. We were pretty stoked To be a part of their tours final concert. Super cool guys.

         I'm finally back in the US and I will be racing in the upcoming USABMX National in Kentucky. Haven't got much time to ride in the past two weeks. Kentucky is always been one of my favorite Nationals of the year so will see how it goes. Thanks again for my all fans support!
